After adding I did need to delete the English keyboard, which I don't have, and was wondering if when rebooting my Word program would have automatically gone to German, which gratefully it didn't.
I had same problem and definitely this is a bug because each time that you re-login or restart the computer configuration is missing. I found a workaround to fix this and consist on add same keyboard layout for each language. In my case, that I have polish keyboard, solution was:. Here the trick, you cannot remove if there are only 1 keyboard layout, so add a new one the one that you really want and delete the previous one.
